Autumn Trends

Written by: Grace Agar

Home to a classically-styled autumn, we welcome the season with a wonderful colour palette of fall-hues, from rich forest greens, soft woollen blankets and the warming glow of TruGlow® candlelight. Muddy woodland walks and days in wild nature bring us home to a classically-styled autumn, where we enjoy cosy roaring fires accompanied by candlelight. Ahead of the season, we are delving into the upcoming trends and how to incorporate them into your home this Autumn.
Candlelit Homes

Reflecting the changing colours outside, incorporate hues of orange, grey and green into your home to softly transition into Autumn. Opt for a TruGlow® Candle Trio carefully crafted in these colours, where the muted tones style perfectly next to existing designs of ivory TruGlow® and with a rustic, distressed wax effect, they are set to become a staple for the autumn season.

Top Tip from our Senior Product Manager “Simply style along the mantlepiece with our traditional autumn winter wreath and garland. The seasonal foliage of winter berries, fern and pinecones brings a rich colour palette to autumn styling - a style that will transcend the winter season”
Quiet Luxury

The epitome of autumnal, cosy yet sophisticated spaces, ‘quiet luxury’ is the perfect trend to try incorporating into your home this season. Centred around simplicity, quality and craftsmanship, this trend is one to keep in mind when looking for timeless autumnal decor that will see you through this season and so many more to come. Not too cluttered and not too sparse, this trend strikes the perfect balance between minimalism and maximalism, where every space is curated and thought out. To achieve this look, opt for rich colours of deep oranges and burgundy's, simple yet impactful lighting to create a soft and homely mood, and simple touches of autumn décor like stone pumpkins, as a nod to the season.

Foliage In Abundance

Foliage is hand finished with sparkling lights and decorative ribbons; sprigs are teased in place as the mantle is filled with an abundance of natural faux foliage. The autumnal colours complement rustic brick and wooden finishes of the hearth whilst the log burner glows. Copper-coloured TruGlow® candles are styled in brass candle holders amongst the garland and along the mantlepiece, as larger pillar candle styles are dotted at the foot of the fireplace, varying in different heights and sizes on either side. Handcrafted ceramic and amber glass pumpkins are nestled alongside for a relaxed aesthetic that will add warmth to your autumn home.

Natural Materials

Warmth and earthy tones are incorporated using natural materials that perfectly compliment your soft furnishings. Bring indoors any small terracotta pots from your summer garden, and rehome indoors for the winter months to bring in elements of nature and those earthy orange tones we see come round each Autumn. Introduce warmth and luxury with woollen blankets, touches of tweed and the subtlety of candlelight that juxtapose more rustic, weathered wood and brick textures.
