Halloween Favourites

Glowing pumpkins and flickering candles – along with popcorn and old-fashioned candy - set the scene for movie nights bursting with chills and thrills, whilst tricks and treats are delivered to petrifying porches, and enjoy all the season has to offer. As we head towards Halloween, we are sharing all of our seasonal spooky favourites to enjoy over the upcoming weeks.
Cosy up this Halloween in front of the roaring fire to watch all your favourite spooky and seasonal films. Opt for a Halloween classic like Hocus Pocus, or get stuck into the Harry Potter series, which will keep you occupied for hours on cosy weekends sheltering inside from the inbound cold weather. Alternatively, opt for a new read to hunker down and enjoy; opt for something darker like a thriller as a nod to the season and get your spooky fix this Halloween.
Make the most of sunny but crisp Autumn days with the perfect Halloween activity: pumpkin picking. Heading to your local pumpkin patch to collect an array of multi-coloured pumpkins to adorn your home, and of course, picking one up to carve in a design of your choice, before completing with a TruGlow Votive Candle inside to illuminate. Alternatively, use some of your chosen pumpkins to come home and make a hearty pumpkin soup, the perfect starter for any Halloween dinner parties!
If you want to get crafting this Halloween, pumpkin painting is the perfect cosy and simple solution. Take your pumpkins along with some small paint brushes and acrylic paint and begin to doodle small designs all over your pumpkin to add a little fun and personal touch to your Halloween decor or to keep your guests entertained when hosting. If you have little ones to keep entertained over the Halloween holidays, seasonal crafts are the perfect option. Milk Bottle Halloween Lanterns are super simple to make; simply take a used milk carton, and paint all over in green, orange or white. Next, take a pen, some googly eyes, some cotton wool or whatever craft supplies you have laying around, to decorate! Draw bats, spiders and Frankenstein, or stick cotton wool and small fake spiders all over your reused milk bottle for a spooky display. Complete by filling the bottle with some rice or similar to keep them standing, and add in some LED microlights to illuminate your DIY lanterns.
As the season of Halloween approaches, create the most celestial of evenings amongst the stars from the comfort of your home. Bring elegant touches of candles and vases to your hearth and fireplace, styled with textures of stone and amethyst to summon a mystical aura of magic in the moonlight Incorporate a modern touch to Halloween styling by weaving pre-lit black twiggy Halloween garlands along mantelpieces, bringing a fantastically haunting ambience to your home. A ghoulish glow will radiate throughout your living space with a sparkling wreath as a central focus, setting the scene for the season.
